New Aviation Weather Homepage
Dear valued customer of www.flug-wetter.at,
Austro Control has worked intensively on an improvement of www.flug-wetter.at. We are pleased to inform you that the new aviation weather homepage will be launched on June 1st at www.austrocontrol.at/flugwetter.
The previous homepage will be automatically redirected to www.austrocontrol.at/flugwetter – your user data (user + password) will remain the same. After your first login you will be kindly asked to change your password for security reasons. The new password must consist of at least 8 characters including at least one capital letter and one special character.
The most important innovations are:
English Version
For non-German speaking customers the most important information is now available in English.
New layout
A new navigation makes it easy to find the particular information required.
Mobile version
The new homepage is optimized for the use on mobile devices.
Radardata and ALDIS lightning map
The visualization of radar and lightning data is available in higher resolution. You can choose to animate the pictures from 30min to 1h.
RGB Satellite Data
Advanced satellite pictures - for a quick distinction of different meteorological phenomena - e.g. low cloud coverage and snow covered surface or high clouds and low clouds.
Atmospheric Soundings
Daily 1-2 times measured vertical profiles are now available in all 3 categories of aviation (engine flights, soaring and balloon).
Weather overview
A combination of a satellite picture with an analysis of surface pressure and the position of frontal systems provided by Zentralanstalt für Meteorologie und Geodynamik (ZAMG).
Meteograms
A new product showing the direct model output on 6 grid points of the main Austrian airports. It is a supplement for users especially interested in meteorology.
Information pages
All products come with short information texts describing the functions of the products. You find the information by clicking on the button  next to the heading.
